Femtosecond lasers for Ultrafast Xuv sources (FLUX)
This team has been studying, developing, and using coherent sources of XUV radiation—also known as extreme ultraviolet (EUV)—for many years. The spectral range of the sources generated by the group typically extends from 1 to 50 nm, with studies conducted in collaboration with the ILM group for the range exceeding 50 nm. We are working on two types of XUV sources: the generation of high-order harmonics (HHG) and XUV lasers, which are most often seeded by HHGs. To better understand the physical phenomena involved in the generation of these sources and to optimize their use, we have simultaneously developed expertise in metrology and XUV optics. Finally, we regularly conduct application experiments with external users, which continually drive us to improve our XUV sources.
