MeV electron beam at kHz via Laser-Wakefield Acceleration
Laser-plasma acceleration of electrons at a kHz repetition rate can be of high interest for medical and industrial applications. That’s why in Salle Orange we are developing a kHz laser-wakefield accelerator.
Recently, by using a Hydrogen plasma, we significantly increased the performance of our kHz laser-plasma accelerator, with an excellent level of stability both in the spectrum and the spatial profile of the electron beam.
Additionally, we explored the Carrier-Envelope Phase (CEP) effects of the laser on the accelerated electron beam in different injection schemes.
