LOA Seminar: Olena KONONENKO (UPX): Laser-plasma X-ray source for 3D tomography

Laser-plasma accelerators (LPA) have been successfully demonstrated as ultimate compact sources of relativistic electrons and secondary particles. Amongst possible applications, X-ray tomography is a highly demanded technology, for example, for non-destructive testing . We will present recent results of X-rays obtained with two Ti:Sapphire laser systems: 7 TW SHERIL laser from UPX group and pushed up to 4.3 TW Enstamobile transportable laser from F-ILM group. To our knowledge, it is a first demonstration of a transportable LPA.
