René Pellat prize 2022 for Pablo San Miguel Claveria

We warmly congratulate Pablo San Miguel Claveria to the award of the René Pellat prize 2022 by the plasma division of the French Physical Society (SFP) for his PhD thesis “Betatron radiation in beam-driven plasma wakefield acceleration and ultra-relativistic beam-plasma instabilities”, which he completed at LOA under the supervision of Sébastien Corde.

The prize jury highlighted the diversity of the problems studied and their modes of investigation, and the high quality and richness of the results obtained, making this thesis a remarkable exemplary work and its author a particularly talented researcher.

Pablo is currently a postdoc at the Institute for Plasmas and Nuclear Fusion at Técnico Lisboa in Portugal.
