Seminaire – La science attoseconde dans les semi-conducteurs au LOA

Strong field physics undercovers challenging fundamental questions raised by the potential of controlling electron dynamics in atoms, molecules and solids on ultimate space and time scale. Electron coherent control under strong field excitation is at the origin of the high harmonic generation (HHG) process. In solids the electric field induced current within the conduction bands is at the origin of the HHG emission. The study of the coherent radiation can reveal fundamental information on the intrinsic dynamics of the system and can open pioneer applications in ultrafast optics. I will present my previous experimental work on HHG in solids, photoelectron emission microscopy, and Flex-UV project to develop a novel attosecond metrology platform at LOA. These experiments are at the basis of a new research line at LOA: attosecond science in semiconductors.
